Greetings from SE British Columbia / Idaho panhandle!

My FIRST find with the local group for the FIRST time (having not been out detecting in several years) ... yields a horseshoe! I'm hopeful this is a sign of great things to come!

As you can see from my profile picture, this was a USED horseshoe, not a 'game' horseshoe, still with a couple of the nails in place (upper left of photo) ... found about 7" below grass covered packed ground, on a rather steep sidehill.

It is now on display at "Beadazzled" our local mining/detecting/rockhounding shop. . .with hopes of bringing luck to all !
