Grey Ghost Amphibians for ATPro

Heard a rumor on facebook today that lots of people are having problems with new amphibians being very quiet. My 3 year old ones quit working last week, so I need to buy a new pair but don't want to spend $150 if they are going to be junk out of the box. Although I don't know what I'll do about headphones then lol. I water hunt so non waterproof headphones are not an option. Any truth to the rumor?

Are you sure it's the Amphibian, I have 4 pairs all very loud. The Gray Ghost divers have a volume limiter in them and no where near as loud as Amphibians.

That's what they said. Brand new pair, could barely hear them all the way up. Mine were very loud too, before the left quit working and the right started cutting out. I wonder what the charge is for repair from grey ghost. I think it's the wire is breaking where it connects to the detector, because it comes back for a second or two and cuts out again. I want to water detect this last weekend of 80 degree weather, before switching to land for the rest of the year.

They come with 2 year warranty, Gold Digger bought Detector Pro which owns the Gray Ghost line.

They are three years old, no warranty. I'll call and see what they charge for repair though, thanks for the number.
