Greyghost ultimate headphones ?

Just got a set of greyghost ultimate headphones and for me to hear my tones I have to turn the volume to max, and one click lower and it seems to be too low , I am using them on my x-terra 705 ,and I do have good hearing even though my wife doesn't think so lol, any input or suggestions appreciated thanks.

the only thing I can think is they might be defective or there is an in line volume control on the phones themselves that is turned down. if all else fails I would try out another set of any old headphones and see how they work with your machine. then you can determine if the machine just doesn't put out a loud signal for phones or if there is a problem with your greyghost set.

It was explained to me that the cheap headphones I have just Blair the sound and the grey ghost headphones are actually putting out a more quality sound that doesn't have to be so loud and the headphones cancel out ambient noise, I think I was used to the sound of poorly built headphones that were just loud,i went out after posting this and compared both phones and there was a big diffrence in quality,it was just me thinking they should be louder than they have to be.

t-man, what was the volume of your detector set to?

With good headphones that have their own volume controls, I turn up
the machines volume to MAX, then begin to increase the headphone volume
until I barely hear that threshold.

I would give them another try, and be sure the plug is also inserted all the
way. If they're set up right and still have no volume, then it could be a bad
cable or a bad connection in the plug. Grey Ghosts are quality headphones,
so one would think they've been through some kind of QC before leaving
the factory.

If they still don't work right, I would send 'em back and get some new ones.
