Hello! One more item that I need help with this morning. This piece is dense, non-magnetic and appears to be lead. As you can see from the images, there is a groove or slot in one end. There appears to be some iron oxidation in the bottom of the groove. The item's base is slightly oval with measurements of 0.50" and 0.53". A series of approximately 5 faint grooves or threads can be seen on the circumference. These can be seen on the side going away from the number 1 in the first image. My first thought (hope) was "carved bullet" but I don't think so. The number of fine grooves / threads suggest something other than ammunition to me. The iron deposit in the larger groove also steers me away from that conclusion. Does anyone have some ideas they could share? Thanks again.
