Good info on the way the GPZ works on recording ground info. Have you been able to try one out yet Terry? I missed a chance to use one at a relic hunt when the person that was going to let me try one out could not make hunt.

Yes, I had a chance to swing one at a Colonial site last week. It is impressive, but I am going to stay with my 5000 until I can justify buying one. Seriously, I can buy into an all-American hedge fund for $10,000.00

His method is interesting.... Will have to try it the next time out. So far I've been running fixed GB, because auto seems to track out soft deep targets for me. I have seen it seem to get better and better as it "warms up" - which it really isn't doing but continuously revising the ground balance settings.

And Fletch- sorry I didn't make he hunt so you could try it out!
