I do wish she had put a little more emphasis on her last point.

Our forefathers actually have quite a bit of paperwork and discussions about weapons. Their point really was that we were armed so that the Constitution could not be deleted, or that we could not be forced into tyranny or having another King.

For that to happen, you HAVE to have the same weapons as the military and the police.

We (imo) still have a duty to defend this country from ALL its enemies - both foreign and DOMESTIC - our own government is who the forefathers were talking about when they talked about "domestic" enemies.

The speaker is Dr Susan Gratia-Hupp and she was testifying on behalf of the CCP law TX was considering, which passed in 1995. She became a state representative in 1996.
