Get a conceal carry permit (which I posses) if you're concerned about safety, but its a little overboard to walk around a mall area where this was located with a six shooter strapped to your leg. Sorry if this offends you are anyone else, but it does nothing but add more controversy to the whole gun debate. It's your right to wear a swastika or rebel flag around, but don't think it appropriate. Just my opinion we all have them!

Is it any wonder that the other side is making inroads into erodeing our rights, when we have to resort to name calling and labeling each other when opinions differ...I don't think there is anything wrong with open carry, and come to Vt, and see it ina lot of places, and we have no restrictions or permits needed to carry concealed! To each his own, and move on.....

We just had a shooting in a dollar store clerk hands the dude 100$ and gets shot in the head for it. I think having some law abiding citizen with a gun standing next to me in today's world just makes me feel a little safer. They are still looking for this liberal created Government tit sucking idiot.Talk about timing the next day a friend of mine, who is a bar owner who has the foresight to carry blows away some dude with a gun who thinks he can out Draw him during working hr's. nice ending.

I personally don't have a problem with this at all. Yes I'm a Democrat and yes I own guns. What this guy is doing is the same thing as the guy who makes sure everyone is watching as he get out of his BMW or his benz. Just mentally shake your head and go on with your day.

In an open carry state you carry anywhere the law allows if you wish. I have talked to many an law enforcement officer the last year about gun laws, conceal and open carry. They supported the open carry law and like it better then the conceal carry. When Florida had open carry I carried everywhere and it was in the OPEN......

I think that open carry does more to stop crime than anything else. It may make you the first target, or it may dissuade someone from commiting that crime.
