I got out to my 1820 campsite this morning before the rain and I found this, I thought it was just a hunk of metal but I gave it a light brushing and the metal triangle turned out to be something. ive found a lock plate bullet mold and round balls so I'm wondering if this is maybe another piece to the flint lock pistol, I cant imagine there was much else that you could call mechanical out there at that time any opinions?
