Looks good to me - congrats

Ooh man thanks cru
It’s my very first one.
I’m a happy hunter !

That’s amazing! Great find!

Looks like one!

I am fortunate to live in an area surrounded by rev war and colonial era
Wooded land I have many old sites to dig

yep, GW himself would be proud

Yes, one of the GW "turkey eagle" varieties. Do not clean it.

Congrats man, that’s an amazing dig! :occasion14:

I don’t think there is anything I would like to dig more than one of those! They are a real treasure!

I dunno if I’ve ever seen one with the bumpy edge like that?

Absolutely don’t mess with it. I don’t know if I could resist :dontknow:

I would look into getting it professionally conserved.

Whats to conserve, other than losing your money.

I’m with you cru,
I’ll smear a bit o wax and in the display case lol

I dunno? Just wondering if a professional could give it some TLC. Just curious, no hurt in looking into it. If it was me I would be interested in every option of preserving it.

Thanks for the input I will consider it
I have no idea who or where to look for that service tho !
Any ideas ?

No, I don’t. And judging by other responses it’s probably I’ll advised. I was just curious out of ignorance.

These items are dug
Only the rarest of rare really hold much value

I’ve hundreds of buttons
Very few identifiable lol
The ones I can identify I put in display cases
And enjoy looking at them reading about them and research
It’s a great hobby that doesn’t stop when you put the detector away lol

congrats, you really nailed that one....glad you didnt kiss it with your digger!
