Had quite a start this morning.

Metal detecting a corn field by the road I looked up and it startled me.I believe its the same bear I see earlier this summer in the back yard.He stared right a me,I raised my shovel and shouted,didn't take long until he ran off.

Always been told the bear is more afraid of you than you are of it…….usually I agree, but have been in some situations where I’d guess it was a toss up.

Glad you saw it and didn't bump into it.

Only had 1 run in with a bear but was glad l scared it off.

if they have no tree near by to climb they will run off !

Speak for yourself….they can out run you, but is hard for them to gain traction of the trail of poop being left behind

Poor guy was just out in that cornfield trying to get in another meal before winter sets in, and then you go and scare him off.

That's about all it would be good for. Shoot the bear with that thing and all you'll do is piss him off.
