I stopped selling on eBay in early 2014 as it was becoming too much work for a 65 year old lazy guy, removed 1250 listings. But... going to yard and estate sales was driving me nuts knowing I could turn a lot of that stuff into pretty good money. So I have listed a few things over the last month or so with mixed results, still shaking off the rust. Have kept my listings down to under 15 at a time so far and hoping to keep it at that level. I guess I missed it more than I thought I would. Picked up 10 Revell hot rod kits still shrink wrapped for $2.50 each today, that's a pretty good deal.

Keep making money!

Great deal on the Revell's. Looks like the time of year for you to start unloading stuff. There'll be snow on the ground before you know it. I couldn't go to yard sales and estate sales if I didn't sell on ebay. I'd be renting a whole building to store stuff, instead of a couple storage units.

Ebay used to be a good money maker for me. BUT they could see how popular it was becoming and then the rates went up. The Paypal came in and ebay tried to force everyone to accept "their" form of payment. Then the Postal service seen there was $ to make also and they have been raising the shipping rates consistently since. The breaking point for me was when ebay decided that they would base the final sellers fee using the shipping cost in the equation also.
Like you, I still sell a little here and there but nothing like I used to.

Some sellers were selling a $100 item for $1 and charging $105 for shipping.

The postal rates for Canada have got so high that I am embarrassed at the costs and only ship US now. Not my fault, I know, but I didn't like the paperwork anyway.
