Made a post on a half dime recovery a few days ago and had a few comments of how hard they are to come by, wanted to share my half dime collection, this is 10 or 12 years of hitting old homesteads. 6 came off of 1 home site . These coins are so small I can see how easy it was to be lost!! 4 of the 18.5 are Capped bust.

That's a great number of Half Dimes you've gotten over the years.
The cut half is a nice catch, pretty small. Congrats.

The Caps were 15.9MM and the others after are 16.5MM
The Canadian (Fishscale) 1858-1921 are 15.5MM

Nice. I just found a VG 1838 half dime yesterday and posted here. One in five years of detecting. Slippery little coins but not as bad as my 1851 and 1852 silver trimes.

Simply amazing. I've yet to find my first half dime, coins are rare as hens' teeth around here.
Same here .

I got 2 from 1 site . they are among my favorite finds

That is quite the collection! Congrats to you on all of those little beauties.
In my approx 17 yrs of detecting I’ve only dug : 1 seated Liberty half dime, 1 capped bust half dime, I Spanish real, 1 - 2 cent coin.
I’m trying not to be greedy and leave some for others. Not!!! 🤪
Thanks for the post, you give me hope.
