half proofs!

Opened my first box today and it had 2 proof enders and the box gave up a nice total of 13 proofs!
1992,1993,1999,2004,2005,2006,2009x2,2010,2011x2,2012x2 all proofs! Must have been a collection of them dumped, no silver in the box but I'm still happy with it.

Good luck! These 13 where the first I have ever found! I have done more that 40 boxes and today's my first proof so it can take a while! Hope you get lucky!
Also my second box had 2 1968's no proofs

Ok, I have a (dumb) question... Do proofs actually look black except the raised parts of the coin?

Not dumb! They are not black, the coin actually looks like a mirror on the low parts and a bit frosted on the high parts of the coin. They are extremely shiny! The rims sometimes look wider than that of another normal half

Depends on the angle you hold it at.

They are not black, they have a 'mirrored' look to them.

Yeah they really do! If your only rim searching it can be really hard to find them though. :P

I got an Intercept Shield album that I'm trying to fill right now. It's fun to do!

I got mine off eBay for about $8 (allegedly used as a store display). I've got probably 3/4 of it done (1964-2001 with proofs and silver proofs).

I have about 5-6 rolls of proofs laying around that ive found since I started hunting.

I find all of mine rim searching only, they definitely stick out! Thicker, and nice clean rims... Not as cool as finding silver, or a silver proof, but its still a keeper in my book.

ETA: I found a proof today, but someone spraypainted it, so I just chucked it back in the dump bag.
