I went out just before dark to do a last minute detect so i went to a yard nearby that was good to me in the past. I hit it pretty hard many times before so i went into the overgrown bushy areas. I managed a couple finds like a 1918 large cent and a matchbox car. My best find though was a very bitter sweet one. It was another rare local Halifax militia dome button and I was convinced it was going to turn out in amazing shape after I cleaned it up at home but it’s actually very brittle and only in so so condition. When I first dug it out all I seen was lots of gold gilt and could see the big 4 and crown so I was phyched. Oh well it’s nice to have one with gilt this time and it will be a nice addition to the collection regardless! [emoji16][emoji106]
