Looks like one to me, was it found in a area where obvious artifacts were found?

Yes I have found several pieces where this was found.

Does it exhibit any battering where it was used as a hammer? I can't see it in your pics. You gotta go with the evidence.

Yes it's heavily pecked on one side and slightly tapered, I should have taken a pic of that I guess.
