There you go!
That?s a cool drill. Sometimes the base shows that it?s a repurposed point, but that drill has just a bit of a paddle type base. Could have been a drill from the get go. Material is tough to make out. Looks coarse though. Great find.

The point looks to be an Orient Fishtail made of Barrington Argillite. Check out page 107 in Boudreau?s Typology. There are examples there made of the same material.

Great finds man. I?m giving my place a rest for a few. Was close to a 100 degrees today and the ticks are hungry!! We are just doing creek walks till things cool down some.

Does anyone know what the lithic is or the yellow crystalline structure dispersed throughout? These two below both have the same crystal like structure throughout, for a lack of a better word. It appears to be almost a greenishish quartzite but the yellow is different. Its found in both of these pieces, but the source rock is definitely different based on color alone.

Thanks in advance.
Stay cool out there.
