Hand carved doll with pipe in its mouth?

I normally pass on dolls at the auction but this little guy was really interesting so I got it. Does anyone have any idea of its origin? Its feet and hands look hand carved.

I am not knowledgeable about the maker or age, but the imagery is very strong that it is supposed to be a Dutch boy. The wooden feet, the scarf, the pipe and the hat all look very Dutch inspired. A quick Google search for 'Antique Doll pipe smoking Dutch boy' brought up several pictures with similar costume and look. It's a neat doll! Nice find!
