Hand Feeding Hummingbirds

Here is a terrific video showing the humming birds in Alaska feeding out of their hands. After watching this one,
there are some other really good ones involving animals; some wild, some domestic.

Yup, I know what you mean. We have three feeders here that she keeps full all the time. We have one that hangs just
outside the window. They sure do get out cat excited trying to catch them through the glass. They have gotten used to
seeing him there and are not afraid and will land on the little perches. The cat will stand up against the glass and his
tail snaps back and forth in his eagerness to get at them. It's funny to see him. Karen will alternate hanging up the
hummingbird feeder with the regular feeders. The Chickadees and finches are all seem to know they are safe with the
glass there between them. The suet cakes and other feeders are farther away but they all get him excited watching them.
We have 2 windows that he can sit in and watch.

Hello, Unicorn, you are welcome and I'm glad you liked it. The little hummers are interesting to watch. Their little wings
move to fast to see. And if you are close enough, the wings make quite a humming sound. It is amazing how they
can hover in one spot, right in mid air. They can even back up a little when the want to. When we are out sitting on
the patio, we have had them come up and hover in front of our face for 3 or 4 seconds, just as if they are saying
thank you. LOL. When we were up north camping we hung up a hummingbird feeder off the corner of our awning.
Within a couple of days they found it. There was several times that one of them would come and hover right in
front of us. It is amoost like they are saying thank you. LOL.
