Stay safe and hope y'all don't have the mess goin on like we do up here. Fire over SW of Leadville at a little over 2,000 acres with no containment. This fire is about 30 SW of us. With that and the Utah fire, that last pic is our view every day. Sometimes when the wind is right it's worse and you can smell it inside buildings. Yesterday evening it looked like it was tryin to snow, but just ash falling from the sky. Thousands of acres on fire in the state, and I wouldn't want to be the person who caused one of these, cause I'm pretty sure the residents would form up a lynch party. (I did kinda like my 4th of July pic though, haha!)

Seeing your pics brings back some bad memories of the Hayman and the Waldo fires, we were evacuated during the Waldo . I didn't think to take a pic but this morning Pikes Peak had a thick haze covering it from the smoke of 2 fires south of us the smoke isn't too bad in town but I could smell it . Praying for every one evacuated ! Happy 4th

Yeah Charlie that one down by Pueblo's a killer right now. 38,000 acres, lots of structures burned up. One guy was sayin he was about 30 miles away from home, wife called him and said they needed to evacuate, so he raced back, got her, got the pets, got the clothes they had on, troopers showed up and told them get the hell out, they did, and the fire burned down their home. Everything they had was lost. No idea what to do, but you got to feel for folks like that. I suppose insurance companies will quit insuring any of us here in Colorado.

Its over 50 thousand acres now. The insurance companies have been tough on us around here ever since the Waldo canyon fire back in 2012. Forcing every one to cut trees and requiring lots of mitigation or they will drop you. We knew it was going to be bad this year after the winter we had. Going to try to go do some volunteer work for all the animals that are evacuated. Stay safe !
