If you are gonna ship your detector by air, ups, or otherwise, this is what you need. Large Starlight Hard Case. 13' wide, 6.5" deep, 38" long. Weighs about 15 lb. Secureable & virtually in-destructable. Waterproof to 400' & Floats. Cost about $190.00 on Amazon.

These are designed for secure firearms, electronics or photo equipment shipping. You can insure it, request hand inspection at air port, then they seal it & you lock it & keep the keys. It is then a SPECIAL HANDLING item, requiring better security & it is safe to ship as checked baggage. Or you can hide it in a box (keepthe one it comes in) & send it UPS to your destination.

I ordered a Whites Hard Case & sent it back. It was a piece of crap. I am impressed with this case as you can tell, but to each his own. Pix attached. Spotz

Just brought this back up in response to the travel by plane question. Spotz

Spotz Thanks for that info. I backpack a lot and am always afraid that I am going to fall back on my minelab. This is the first thing that looks like it might work. The case I bought from kellyco was a waste of money. Thanks again.
