I had a surge hit me today that moved me 15 feet. The only reason I didn't get flattened and beached was because I was in my black wetsuit and I was afraid some kid would try to take me home to put me in his fish tank. When you're a small guy you have to consider those things.

.....there was so much current/resistance if I tried to swing fast I just spun myself into the bottom like a corkscrew.

Big scoop, I hope that you are wearing one of those inflatable vests if you are hunting in this kind of weather. There was a lot of talk on the boards a few years back after a water hunter drown.

While it was rough and loud, it wasn't quite as bad as I'm playing it up to be, just having a bit of fun with the topic. It was, however, bad enough that I should have just stayed home.
