"Try giving birth" she says tongue in cheek! Seriously,so glad you went back, that's a nice bottle you extracted and the marbles too.

Jim, i think you are definitely in a dump site that has some really great potential. I recommend a 3 prong rake/spade and a shovel. I don't think you have tapped into the motherload just yet. Have you tried going on top of the bank and looking around to see whats there? By the way, nice round bottom you got there(and i'm talking about the bottle). Maybe one of the experts can estimate a date for your bottle. Good luck

top of the bank are old brick factory buildings from the 1850's-1900's im thinking the bottles were thrown down the bank by the workers of the time

You need to stay with this location and keep it under your hat. Don't give your secret away to anyone work it until you feel like you've extracted everything. There is no telling what you're going to find. Good luck and keep showing your finds

Sweet finds!!

I'd be camping at that site digging dawn to dark.

As everyone has said, your site has great potential. I have a dump like that that's given me 150 good bottles. Best part with mine is it's a whole river bank for hundreds of feet. It won't ever be picked clean (I hope)!

Hope you feel better. I actually don't have to dig. The bank is all mud. I just pick out the stuff on the surface and feel with my feet.

Sounds like you have quite the spot there. I love the round bottom soda I hope to find one eventually. My river bank is the same story but the main spot I've been digging is a washed out area with not many roots.

is it in patterson nj? their is a guy on here that would probably want too dig it, he lives around their i believe

Congrats !!! on a hard won bottle. One time I found a Denver whiskey jug right up next to a tree, had most of it uncovered, all the stenciling staring me in the face , went to lift it out of the hole ,would not move ,:BangHead: The tree had grown completely around the neck and handle,,, appx 1 1/2 hrs of chippin wood , and it was mine !
