Hello all,

I'm trying to get a date on this harmonica to help w a local homestead dig. On the left side it says German and then a word underneath that I cant id. The SLQ was found in the area along with an 1888 and 1868 IHP.

Have you tried doing a pencil rubbing of both sides ? The information that is barely legible on the left looks like it could be the maker.

Get a set of Andres pencils it’s a good investment you’ll find more about your fines than you thought you could

I think he means the makers mark
