I was wondering if anyone had any new news on the Lost Merchant the Fishers are after?

What merchant? The Merchant Royal or the Merchant of Venice?

The last I heard is that they are done searching for right now, mainly due to the weather. It has been fairly windy for the last 2 months!

I cant find any information at all on that project, even what part of the state. Does anyone have anything to share?

Last I heard it was North East coast of Florida. That was at least 6 months ago.

This is just my opinion Salvor 6, but would it be reasonable to assume the Fishers were to name the unknown wreck the Lost Merchant rather than the "Lost Galleon"?

Yes Aquanut. If it were a galleon, Spain will claim it. If its a merchant nao no govt. can lay claim.
