Hi:)
This was found in my 96 year old grannies drawer after she passed. I thought it was junk jewellery! Until I cleaned it!!
It has the word "Peru" stamped, along with 985 and something else that I cannot decipher?
Anyone seen something like this before?
I'm thinking it's also gold in the middle picture?!

Very nice, and definitely not junk! It's typical Peruvian vintage silver and yes the (probably Inca-inspired) inlaid figure is likely to be 18K gold. That may be a maker's mark below the silver indication but I can't make it out from the picture... save to say it doesn't appear to be one of the big commercial makers. I would say you're probably looking at a value between $100-150

Thankyou so much:) I'm not looking at selling and will definitely pass it down to the next generation. However, I will be taking it to my local jeweller for appraisal. Will be interesting what they come up with! It will then go into the safe;)
Was just a lovely surprise as I hadn't given it any notice until today! I honestly thought it to be a cheap tacky granny brooch lol
Thanks again for your reply🌸

You never know what you'll find in granny's drawers!:tongue3:
