It would be helpful if it was given a warm bubble bath to bring out any detail on the front.

There also looks as if it had another attachment on the back, possibly a 'hanger' of sorts.

Hi Brian. Was hoping military but not sure. Definitely a pin of some sort. The field has been worked since the mid 1700's. Was hoping someone would recognize. See you this weekend!
