Have the chance to go to Roatan this year, anyone treasure hunted there before?

I have the opportunity to go to this famous pirate island. I've read the stories and legends about buried treasure and such. Anyone detected the beaches dry,wet, or scuba and found anything fun?

I feel like with most beach detecting, unless you are there during a storm that cuts the beach the chances are pretty slim, but I had to ask!

If it is famous I would imagine that it has been beat worse than a dead horse by all treasure hunters. All methods and terrain has probably been purged of all treasure but I would still want to go and try. That way I could say "yeah, I been there and done that"

Been there, done that.
If I were to go back, I'd stay around the resort beaches and enjoy myself.
If I had my boat, I'd go to the less traveled islands; like Utila.
