Have you ever seen this before?

I found this today - not sure what to think of it.
Has anybody ever seen this type of fading around the date area?

Grease error, debris covers part of the die and leaves only a vague indentation

Check the rim of the coin where the fading is as well. It appears in the picture to be non smooth like an acid burn. Grease error is likely but i dont believe that would effect the rim where as acid will.
