Heading to roscommon

Im going to higgins lake for a week. any ghost towns. or places to metal detect. I am going to plan a day along the beaches in traverse city as well..

Staying in State Park?

I'm pretty sure you can detect at the south park but I believe the north park is closed to all detecting. check this site.

I printed a map for south park. im also planning on going to the state park in traverse city.. that should be fun.. both are open to metal detecting

Pere Cheney was a town that died off twice. It was at one time the county seat. The grave yard is supposedly haunted.

I heard that, I may have to bring a bible and holy water with me, i found the location on a 1872 map, today at a libray. i also may hit the east towas area, probably the beaches, not sure if i find to much since the way the water goes to the east. i would think lake michigan would be better,but the old lady nags me to much so i may have to listen to metal detect, LOL
