Hey fellow Floridians, east coast and gulf states, too, heads up!
We got Matthew a Cat. 3 to 4, 145 mph winds, gusts 175,
moving W 6mph (atm),
mb pressure 147 (atm)
It's right above Venezuela/Panama, track says, it's suppose to take a sharp right hook,
head our way? :icon_scratch:

Here's a link, it should give co od's and more info. Maybe some of you have a better link, can post.

Great. The Mrs. flies into Orlando Tuesday morning for a conference, I get there on Friday to join her and drive across to Tampa for some beach detecting.. I hope! :skullflag:

There are only calculations...

Which are based on "current facts"...

IF "current facts" change... so does the calculation.
 

IMO... a weather forecast... of ANY kind...
ESPECIALLY a hurricane track...

Is only close... and as good as 3 days MAX out.

And more like And realistically ...

24 hours out.

That's it... and I am stretching it... giving them 12 EXTRA hours credit.

It is a GENERAL "guess" beyond that.

Which they have been pretty good at lately.

Mathews CURRENT track is the WORST possible scenario...
POTENTIALLY...
For Florida's WEST COAST.

In other words...
Better hope that the current track is close or right.
 

Appears hurricane will pass east of Cuba moving north, current projected path misses Florida...
