Hearing targets more clearly after cleaning the SE's Coil

Hey guys is it just me or after you clean the Minelab Explorer SE's coil you can hear the targets more clearer? Mine had a lot of dirt and grass on it from my last hunt but once I got all the dirt off and cleaned the entire coil with a little incy wincy water then the coil hears all of the targets a lot clearer! So I hope on next hunt will go a lot smoother then last.

this is a condition that has been well posted on. The dirt in the coil gets charged? somehow and interferes with the signal.

I find this to be true. I just hate taking the coil cover off after each hunt to clean it out!

As do I Eagle. But, a clean coil is a happy coil . I have been shown a coil with an epoxy coating on it. works like a cover, without anything getting between them. Of course, it voids the warrantey.
