I do landscaping and was at a large manufacturing sight edging out a bed by hand when I saw the elusive Cumberland . I knew instantly what type it was from looking through the arrowhead guide books. I sold it a year ago and kinda regret it but needed some cash. I sold it for $350 and would have thought it to be around the $8000-$10000 mark if whole. I know I'll never find another one ImageUploadedByTapatalk1362023755.548362.webpImageUploadedByTapatalk1362023778.112027.webpImageUploadedByTapatalk1362023809.452425.webp

In my experience, the joy is more in the finding than owning. I cash out some and give others away. I just don't have the room to store things. I know the thrill you had when you found it.

:hello: Welcome to TNET! Super Find! :icon_thumleft:! Too bad that you had to sell it, it would have been very diffucult for me to sell such an uncommonly found artifact.

SAD... That is truly a heartbreaker. Not many Cumberlands surface. At least you can say you found one, not many of us can.. CONGRATS.. HH

Thanks for showing it to us. I feel you got a very good price for it seeing it was damaged so much. But it truly was a great find.

Wow.... Pretty speechless. Even broken that's an amazing find. Looks like Ft Payne chert, right for the area and the type. Awesome.

The term 'heartbreaker' gets overused. You, sir, I think have properly applied the term. Amazing and sickening at the same time.

Welcome to the site.

I recently saw one for sale at asking price of $3500, wow
