Relic Hunting
We made 2 hunts this week. Doug & I hunted last Monday and Tenn. Josh was able to join us for a short hunt yesterday when he finished working. Doug found 4 bullets last Monday and I had not dug any CW relics until I dug the heart rosette shown in the pics. This is the 2nd one of these I have dug. Although they were civilian used, they are dug in early CS and US camps.
Tenn. Josh joined us yesterday and we found more bullets. Doug found the "Lucky Charm". Per John Freeman and Breezie, these were arcade made items from the 1940s-60s. This one was engraved "William Spindler USN". We are researching Mr. Spindler via local veteran resources. We hope to have a video next week. HH from the Tennessee Trio, Q.

Congrats on the heart rosette Quindy. That's a nice relic.

nice hunts fellas, wtg. That rosette is very nice Q. That's Another one that is a bucket lister for me.

Love the rosette as well. It's amazing how those come out of a big majority of camps I've hunted as well but never being associated with the war.

Another great hunt Q! Love the rosette. And I'll take CW lead any day. Congrats.

Wow, awesome rosette. Congrats! -Lisa & John

That's a really great rosette!

Nice hunt for the DUO and the TRIO! The rosette is particularly nice, and I love the patina! Hopefully you will be able to find William Spindler and/or his family. My subscription to Ancestry ran out last month, so I can't help in the search.
Way to go:thumbsup:

That was a fun little hunt. We are getting ready for some serious hunting this fall.

Good job guys! I love that puffed heart. Be glad when it cools down and rains! Dry as a bone here.

Congratulations on the Heart Rosette! That is a very rare find!

Nice rosette and other relics! :icon_thumright: I remember those lucky wheels. Every once in a while I would go down to the 5&10 behind my home and make one for myself. It was right next to the horoscope machine.

WTG on the finds! Love the rosette! As soon as you get some rain and fall temps, send it southward! lol

Nana :hello:
