Heat tries to slow down the run to 10,000

so I switched to a tot lot again today....Took a nice slow approach in a tot lot and used a slightly modified coin/jewelry program. 2 hours(did not minus out time explaining to older lady I was not putting in new swing sets!) ...52 coins and a little variety...A 55-d and 58-d nickel along with a junk ring and some junk jewelry (I don't count junk items). Interesting mix...Will cross 6000 this week!

I was going to ask her to dig! Luckily most of the coins today were just a matter of pushing the woodchip aside...but she did ask me this when I explained to her what I was doing... She said OK you find a lot of coins...as I showed her my finds...she said what do you do with them?... I said I have all these empty cotton candy containers that I am saving every penny I find in this year...I am going to take a photo at the end of year with everything together..thought that would be a nice picture...She just laughed and started looking at the swings again! I am sure she thought I was crazier than her!

You mentioned to me before and you were right how this could become something more then I wanted...I am still having fun but go out knowing exactly each week what it will take to make my numbers....

One thing I have noticed about the older nickels before 1964.....most of them come out a little bit "cleaner" than the new clad type coins........

Slowing down a bit and searching a bit more thouroughly.....you are starting to get some older coins....Good work!!!!

Saturday I hit a nearby beach, found two other detectorists there....and after 3 hours of MDing together, one of the guys got very lightheaded from the heat. And, he was in the water!
