Wife found this hunting in a pasture . Can figure it out .

My guess is it's some kind of decorative collar off of a cast iron fence.

By the way, welcome to T-Net. Is there any chance there's an old cemetery near the field you were hunting. You often see decorative cast iron fences there.

We aren’t aware of one.. The property has been in my wife’s family for almost 75 years. We will have to look into that further. Thanks!
