Well yesterday I was surprised to see that the ring with an inscription was actually SS. This morning I was pleasantly surprised to find what I thought initially was tungsten is 14K white gold.

It is made by Benchmark with the brushed or satin finish. It looked like tungsten and felt like tungsten till I got it home. 12 grams of 14K. The stones tested negative.

Thanks for looking and good luck out there!

That's good news...and that 's a very nice gold ring find!

That's a nice heavy Ring, Great Job!!!

I hope it is really gold. Some makers use a sand mold to pour the rings and it has the 14K in the mold. Test the ring to be sure.

Congrats - all mine that are marked SS are either stainless steel or surgical steel

I know what you mean. Sometimes I find unmarked gold that really isn't gold. :BangHead::laughing7:

Nice band, heavy also!

Sound advice! I acid tested it 2 times just to make sure and it is 14K.
