Hello, I wanted to introduce myself. I am a long time CRH'er, long time lurker, and first time poster. I enjoy the numerous posts and have gained insight. I wanted to join the site and hopefully add to the discussions. I really enjoy CRHing and Metal Detecting. I get a charge out of the awesome finds I read about on this sight. Be kind to the noob! Good luck and HH.

Howdy Dekay.

What do you consider "long time" for CRH'ing? :clock: Like before the secret got out? :director:

What coins do you hunt?

What's your high score for a single hunt?

Welcome.

Dave,
Welcome aboard. Hope you have great finds to post to inspire us all.

Madwest,

I began crhing back about 1970 with my Dad. We did very low volume a few rolls here and a few there. That is how I have done it until recently. My dad started me into coin collecting and I have really enjoyed it. I do all denominations and have picked up a few here and there. I have started to do boxes, mainly dimes and nickels. I share this great hobby with my 3 son's. They all have coin books and we love to fill blank spots. Of course I stash my silver. Thanks for the welcome and HH.

Welcome aboard Dave. Like me, you started CRHing around 1970. If you were also like me, in 1970 you probably couldn't afford boxes of halves. But just think about it, if we could have afforded halves in 1970, EVERY ONE would have been a keeper.

Think about the possibilities. 8)

Again, welcome to the madness.

This is a very nice Sight isn't it?

Welcome to Tnet. I advise not to do dimes, I am averaging 1 silver every 3 boxes. I also do not reccoment quarters or halves. I am on a 14 box skunk streak over 3 months with halves. Quarters, it's just a fact, the finds have diminished.
