I used to live in Escanaba,Mi.Too bad i didn't have a MD when i lived up there.
I did get out for a few last weekend to and old homested site i found on a 1901 plot map and pic`ed this out of the ground.Its a lock made by philgas now known as phillips66 its made of brass.

nice lock, i hunt mostly around Marquette area with the old mining sites, planning to get more into it around here [Menominee] this year, more in the logging history down here. waiting for some of this snow to melt though. Thompy
