Detector(s) used
Garrett AT PRO
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
I've been thinking about this for a long time and finally decided to jump into this great hobby with both feet.
Never used a Metal Detector but have come up with interesting 'finds' while working on our old farm property here; old hand made axe head, antique ice-skates, old tools.
Looking forward to scouring this old property and then extending my search area.

Haven't made up my mind as to the "right" MT yet, but will soon meet with an experienced treasure hunter and will get a few ideas from him.

Can't wait for that snow to melt.

Welcome from NE Ohio in the USA.

Hi from Halifax/Dartmouth, and welcome... looks like we'll be waiting a while longer until we can get out and dig!

Welcome to the forum!

Welcome,

Here's a good book about treasure in your area, mostly quit shallow.

After reading it, I believe the shorelines could be very good.

Good Luck.

Welcome Aboard!

Thanks everybody,
Raring to go digging!.. Narrowing down my search for a detector; Between Fisher F5., Teknetics Europro., and Bounty Hunter 505. But leaning more towards the 1st two, because of the DD.
Expect to buy within the next couple of weeks.
Did lots of research ; history/charts/maps re the areas I would like to scan. Going to start with my property where there were 2 farms dating back at least to the mid 1770's.
Will be visiting the beaches in Maine sometime this summer.
I will keep learning from all of you.

Happy Digging,

jrobert
