Just started this hobby myself, but my father has been doing it for years. I have only just saw the enjoyment in getting out and finding history so to speak. I picked up a Garrett Ace 350 and so far can't get myself to stop thinking of a good place to hunt. Look forward to using these forums as a source of info.
