Hi Franz. You should submit a new discussion for these beautiful findings. I suppose they are Illyrian arrows or at least roman! Strange that u found italian coin in Croatia. Do you live near Slovenia?

Wow, did'nt expect results that soon, nice finds! I agree with Vince76, you will have more and better feedbacks if you start a new thread. I have the tendency of continuing on the last thread I opened, but I also realize that not many members read them afterward. On another subject, I'm going to educate myself about the history of your area, beautiful Croatia. Your lucky, i'm under 2 feet of snow, my season will start in a month or a little bit less. Good luck Franz555 on your next hunts!

Bottom coin appears as Byzantine from the reign of Justiinian I (527-565 AD).
If so, the complete legend would be: D.N.IVSTINIANVS PP
To the right of the "M" would appear the regnal year; but I can't make it out.
CON= Constantinople mint.
Don..
PS: The denomination of the coin is that of a 'follis', designated by the letter "M"

I cant tell you where i live , because treasure hunting is not legal in Croatia. Maybe one time in the private massage. We have reach history and very long collaboration with Italian country.
