Hello from Houston Area

I have been on and off this site for probably 10+ years. I recently moved to The Woodlands, Texas which is about 30 minutes North of Houston after spending my first 30 years in NE Ohio.

I love metal detecting. I especially love research and looking at old maps. I have a Masters Degree in GIS. My problem is that I am out of my element in Texas due to the fact I don't know anyone or any really good places to hunt.

If a person or two would like to get together and make a plan to go out and detect, I'd really enjoy meeting and than planning such a hunt.
