Hello from the Philippines

I'm a retired American professor living in the Philippines. I started collecting rocks for my plants and realized that I had never seen volcanic rocks growing up in the US. I can see Mount Pinatubo from my balcony. I started studying and collecting igneous rocks. I'm new to this and my knowledge is limited. I appreciate any suggestions you have. Thanks.

Volcanic landscapes are usually new, and fresh geology to see and learn from.
Collecting rocks is a great hobby.
