Currently station here in Millington, TN. and just got into this hobby with my Garrett Ace 250. So far only found clad but its still a blast. So if there are any pointers send them my way please. Also heading to SC beaches soon so looking forward to doing this on the beach!

Hello and welcome from SoCal!!!! I"m Stationed @ Edwards AFB... your in the right place for treasure!!! in SC, Watch for groomed beaches, then find where they park the tractors!! typically they clean up at certain spots! its like dumping clasifiers on a pile when you find the right spot...

Remember a beach divoid of trash = tractor cleanup crew!!!

Tip#2 they wont go near the dunes but then again your not supposed to dig there so find concentrations of people + dunes edges - Tractor path!!!

I havent swung there since 95-03 but It was a blast!!! also, take a scoop on a pole... your back will love you for it! and ya may find a sharks tooth or three!
