Hi fellow Long Islanders. I too was given a metal detector from my wife and children for my birthday. I have never had a metal detector in my life but its something I always wanted to do. I hail from western Suffolk county,and hope I can meet up one day with a few fellow Long Islanders who would be willing to do a little teaching and maybe do a hunt together.
