Help, again

Since I am not on often I ask all my questions at once!

I found this at a CW site. It is heavy and appears as corroded as a shell fragment I found. I have no idea what it is. Any suggestions as to what it is and how to clean it?

It is about 2 1/4 inches. Maybe it is the original onion ring from BK

i have found several of these rings myself. i was told they are part of an animal harness.

good chance if its from an animal harnes its from the bridle near the jaw line. i wouldnt think it would be from the saddle. the saddles i have used have a half flat/half round (d-ring) for the cinch. as they were all made of leather then, it could have just broken and fallen to the ground.

seems about the right size for it to me though. GL and HH
