Wish I had been detecting when we went to Haulover Beach every day. There are lots of great places for you to hunt, especially the sunbathing areas on or near the beaches and parks. Make sure the area or park doesn't require written permission so you don't get the Parks or game wardens mad. But you should find lots to brag about in the months ahead. Find some club near you and have coffee or adult beverage and discuss tips, techniques and questions. Look in the "brands" section of the Metal Detecting forum for your machine and check out the wealth of information there to speed your learning curve. Be sure to check out the difference your machine may have between dry sand and the wet beach sand at the water's edge. I'm looking forward to your stories in the year ahead and once again, welcome!
