help....am getting started with a Garrett 150...newbie

Welcome to the forum from Massachusetts! :occasion14:

Good Luck on your treasure quest! :icon_thumleft:

Welcome aboard :icon_thumleft:

Congrats on your new manchine! I started with an Ace 250....and have been hooked since.

That thing will find you some gold for sure!

Have fun and dig every signal. It will take you a couple months probably to learn what you think is in the ground by tone and size

Just find a clean spot on the ground and lay down examples of the things you want to find and take note of how they sound and their Target ID. Or just crank it up and dig everything till you figure out what you don't want.

Welcome from North Central Illinois. 🙋

Just get out there and swing like crazy. Welcome to Tnet

Welcome to tnet from MI Tommy

Welcome from Brownwood in central Texas. I used my Ace 250 almost exclusively for the first 11 months of this year and I've made several "first finds" with it. I now have about 200 hours on it and the Ace series detectors are winners for sure. Just keep at it, with your Ace 150, and I think you'll be very happy with what it finds.

The ACE 150 will sniff out coins like a hound dawg! You will learn the "bell" tones and never look back! :laughing7:

Welcome. Go slow, dig all the targets until you learn the machine. It's fun.

Welcome to T-Net from Northern Virginia! Be patient and persistent and you will find the good stuff! Merry Christmas!

Welcome to the site from middle Georgia!...YOUR FIRST ASSIGNMENT, should you chose to accept it is to find a new coach for the Dolphins...No really, happy to have you here from a former Miami resident. Wish I had been detecting when we went to Haulover Beach every day. There are lots of great places for you to hunt, especially the sunbathing areas on or near the beaches and parks. Make sure the area or park doesn't require written permission so you don't get the Parks or game wardens mad. But you should find lots to brag about in the months ahead. Find some club near you and have coffee or adult beverage and discuss tips, techniques and questions. Look in the "brands" section of the Metal Detecting forum for your machine and check out the wealth of information there to speed your learning curve. Be sure to check out the difference your machine may have between dry sand and the wet beach sand at the water's edge. I'm looking forward to your stories in the year ahead and once again, welcome!

:hello: Hello and welcome to T-Net from Southeast Louisiana..."D"
