HELP FINDING A METERORITE

WAS TRYING TO FIND SOMEONE WITH A METAL DETECTOR THAT WOULD HELP ME LOCATE A METERORITE/OR WHATEVER IT WAS? THIS THING WAS ON FIRE AND PASSED BY ME ABOUT TWENTY YARDS AWAY AND BELOW TREE TOP LEVEL. I HAVE A GOOD TRAJECTORY AND THE SEARCH AREA SHOULDN'T BE VERY LARGE.

Most any metal detector should work as long as long as it didn’t go to deep,most meteorites that fall in our area contain a lot of nickel,so have your disc set for nickel

Meteorites are not "on fire" after they enter the lower atmosphere. If it "passed by" you below tree top level is would NOT have the correct trajectory to be a meteorite.
