Help for a new guy

HI, I'm new to the sport of metal detecting. Have a good machine, but would like to partner up with someone who can show me the ropes.

I am in sw, florida. My only interest is to learn this sport and how I can get the most from my machine. I am retired and have a fairly free schedule. If there is a club near Venice i would be interested in joining. Thank you for your help.

Brad there is a whites site on here you may want to go there..... also there is a Florida site that may help you hook up faster
